CRAWFISH BOIL
Willie’s Hott Tejun brings the best crawfish boil in town to the Cavalier in East Austin! We’re talkin’ fresh, spicy crawfish with veggies on top, plus house-made andouille sausage for that extra flavor punch. It’s first come, first served—so grab your crew, roll up your sleeves, and let’s get messy!
GUMBO FEST
The 4th Annual Gumbo Fest is back on Saturday, February 22nd, bringing the community together for a day filled with food, music, and local artistry.
This free, all-ages event invites gumbo enthusiasts to compete for bragging rights, as well as the coveted People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice prizes.
Tasting begins at 4pm, giving attendees the chance to sample and vote for their favorite gumbo.
Beyond the competition, the pop-up market will feature vendors selling clothing, crafts, vintage items, and handmade wares, offering a unique shopping experience kicks off at 3pm.
DJ Clark Field will provide New Orleans-inspired tunes throughout the afternoon, setting the mood for a lively festival atmosphere.
As the day winds down, BR Lively takes the stage at 6pm for an evening of live music and entertainment.
Whether you're here for the gumbo, the shopping, or the music, Gumbo Fest promises something for everyone.

Join us for Tiki Night at The Cavalier, a one-night-only event on the last Thursday of each month, starting at 8pm!
Each month, a special guest co-host shakes things up with a unique, pop-culture-themed cocktail menu, bringing creative and tropical twists to your favorite drinks.

FAT TUESDAY
Mardi Gras is coming in hot on Tuesday, March 4th, and The Cavalier is throwing a bead-slinging, po’boy-devouring, cocktail-fueled party from 12pm to 12am in downtown East Austin! We’re serving up shrimp po’boys, roast beef debris po’boys, and gumbo, plus Hurricanes, Hand Grenades, and Sazeracs strong enough to make you dance on tables. Oh, and did we mention FREE crawfish from 3PM-5PM (or ‘til it’s gone)? It’s free to attend, free to park, and full of questionable life choices, so grab your krewe, throw on your best purple, green, and gold, and let’s get jazzy, messy, and downright rowdy!
DRAG BRUNCH
The second Sunday of each month,The Cavalier Queers turn up the heat at Drag Brunch! Mandy Quinn and the always outrageous Noodles bring high-energy performances, playful banter, and plenty of sass, while the kitchen serves up indulgent bites like chicken & beignets, shrimp & grits, and biscuits & gravy. Wash it all down with award-winning Bloody Marys, mimosas, espresso martinis, or Jell-O shots—because brunch calories don’t count. Join us from 12pm to 2pm (bring your dollar bills and loudest cheers!), and remember: free parking, no cover, and no reservations—just show up and let the good times roll!
